Blue Hole Park - Hike, Bike and Swim

Miles of Hiking and Biking Trails

Take the Plunge

Blue Hole Park

Take a plunge into the clear, cold spring fed waters of Wimberley’s famous Blue Hole!  With more than 3 miles of nature trails through 150 acres of woods, plus another 3 miles of gravel and paved trails, soccer fields, a playscape, fire pits, outdoor pavilions, picnic areas, and much more to discover, you can spend an entire day enjoying the entire Blue Hole Park.

The swimming hole, once a local secret, was acquired by the city using funds from multiple grants from the State of Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, Hays County plus private fundraising by the Friends of Blue Hole,  Still a popular spot with locals (With a Wimberley address locals can swim for only $2 every Wednesday afternoon) Blue Hole has been rated one of  the best swimming holes in the state by Texas Monthly’s  and Texas Traveler Magazine.

With the addition of the hike and bike trails, playground, soccer fields and multiple other amenties, The Blue Hole Regional Park has become a treasured favorite of both locals and tourists.  Don’t miss it on  your next trip.

Go Pie Crazy at the Wimberley Pie Social – April 8

One of my favorite things to do in Wimberley and Central Texas is the Wimberley Pie Social. The Pie Social is like taking a trip back in time to an old fashioned church social’s dessert table – complete with ladies in their pioneer and old west style aprons serving up the prize winning slices.
